De mark II voegt ook een aantal verbeterde functies toe, waaronder gezichtsherkenning AF, MP4 opname, aanvullende framerates bij het opnemen in AVCHD en slow & fast motion opties bij het opnemen in MP4. De mark II heeft ook een extra microfoon op de camera voor het opnemen van geluid wanneer het bovenste handvat is verwijderd. Het bevat een 3,5 inch OLED-scherm met hogere resolutie en de kantelbare elektronische zoeker is nu bijna twee keer zo groot als op de orginele C100. De mark II ondersteunt GPS en is voorzien van ingebouwde draadloze functionaliteit. De HDMI-uitgang ondersteunt tijdcode, net als de orginele C100, maar ondersteunt ook Canon Log LUT.

De Canon C100 mark II maakt gebruik van dezelfde Super 35mm Canon CMOS sensor als zijn grote broer, de C300, maar maakt daarnaast gebruik van een DIGIC DV 4 processor. Met een EF lens mount, is de camera compatibel met het volledige assortiment Canon EF, EF-S en EF Cinema objectieven. Dit is vooral handig voor DSLR shooters die al hebben geinvesteerd in Canon objectieven. De camera maakt gebruik van AVCHD codec om 1080p video opnamen te maken tot 24Mbps. Het ondersteunt dual SD/SDHC/SDXC-geheugenkaarten, die dankzij de efficiente AVCHD-codec, bijna 3 uur aan beeldmateriaal kan opslaan op een enkele kaart van 32GB. Voor professionele toepassingen, kunt u ook schoon en ongecomprimeerd 4:2:2 video opnemen met ingebouwde timecode via de HDMI-uitgang.

Het ergonomische ontwerp van de EOS C100 mark II is gestroomlijnd om door een persoon gedragen te kunnen worden. De camera heeft een gewicht van slechts 1kg in de basisconfiguratie en heeft een flexibel modulair ontwerp zodat u de camera kunt aanpassen aan een breed scala aan opnamesituaties. Extra functies zoals One-Shot AF en Push Auto Iris zorgen dat de gebruiker minder tijd hoeft te besteden aan het controleren van camera-instellingen en meer tijd kan besteden aan het vastleggen van filmische beelden.

Recording channel selection

This is used to set the allocation of the audio channels:

CH1/CH2: The CH1 signals are allocated to the L output channel, and the CH2 signals are allocated to the R output channel.

CH1/CH1: The CH1 signals are allocated to the L output channel, and the CH1 signals are allocated to the R output channel.

Playback

  • Skip Playback: The first image located according to the number of times the skip button has been pressed is output, and played back. In temporary stop mode, the display moves to the start of the clip and pauses.
  • Rec. Review: Rec review is executed by pressing the rec review button while in camera mode. By selecting whether the play back from the start of the last clip on the selected media or play back the last 4 seconds of that clip. When continuous recording has been performed so that the recording extends from one care onto the other, only the images on the card in the current slot are played.
  • Slow Playback: None
Slow and fast motion recording

Available in MP4 Mode Only. This function achieves a fast or slow motion effect by recording at a frame rate different from the one used during playback. The following recording frame rates can be selected using the camera's video quality and frame rate settings. No sound is recorded.
